Dr.
Terry is an ordained minister who is interested in helping others find their own spiritual guidance and direction. This open,
non-judgmental attitude toward individualized expression of worship and faith allows him to be of service to people of all
religions, spiritual paths and even those who are agnostic or atheist.
His ministerial training included
eight years of study and internship in southern California at both Ernest Holmes College and Religious Science International.
In 1994 he was licensed as a minister and founded his first church, the Golden Triangle Church and Center for Positive Living,
in Pittsburgh, PA; he was ordained in 1996 by Healing Light Ministry, Turtle Creek, PA; and, was granted a Doctor of Divinity
degree in 1998 by the American Institute of Holistic Theology, Youngstown, OH. Dr. Terry is currently completing a master
of social work degree at Temple University and expects to graduate in May 2010.
The philosophies
in which he believes and by which he lives his life are based on empowerment of the individual. This allows him to be of service to couples by knowing how to combine different religious
and spiritual beliefs into a seamless ceremony. Here are some of the unusual religious combinations in ceremonies
where two or more spiritual beliefs were combined:
Jewish/Methodist
– Catholic/Muslim – Agnostic/Presbyterian –
Baptist/Wiccan
– Metaphysical/Episcopal – American Indian/Catholic –
Jehovah’s
Witnesses/Catholic
Make your service uniquely yours! Combining spiritual beliefs and religious ceremonies creates a
wedding that is memorable. You can use ideas from the past without making it a cookie cutter ceremony. It’s your day
– not your mom’s, not your dad’s, not your best friend’s and not some distant relative’s! Make
it FUN, create it to be MEANINGFUL and let it reflect YOUR relationship!
