• We both practice different religions - how can they be combined?  Dr. Terry specializes in honoring the traditions of various religions to create a blended ceremony.

• One of us is very religious, the other is not. We don't know what to do. This is another area where the expertise of Dr. Terry is what you are looking for. Both belief systems can be honored and included to allow both the bride and the groom to feel comfortable.

• We don't go to church, but our parents do. How can we feel comfortable with the service and still make them happy? First, it is your wedding and it is best that it reflection the spirituality (or lack thereof) of the couple, not the family. But, Dr. Terry’s extensive religious background and knowledge of other faiths allows him to create a ceremony that can both respect the couple and still acknowledge the family traditions.

• Do you have a church we can rent? No. Dr. Terry is an independent minister and not associated with any local church. This allows him to serve each couple as their spiritual needs require, not preaching the doctrines of one particular faith or denomination.

 

• Will you marry us in a park (or somewhere other than a church)? Of course! Dr. Terry has performed weddings in many beautiful churches, but also in backyard and public gardens, on the beach and in rented halls.

 

• How many classes or sessions do you require us to take before agreeing to perform our wedding? Dr. Terry is here to serve you and solemnize your union, not to judge you or give his approval. However, if the couple desires spiritual counseling that is certainly available.

 

• Can we add special parts to our service? Definitely. All Dr. Terry’s ceremonies are individualized - there are no additional charges or fees for customizing your ceremony, since all are unique!

 

Fees

 

Ruby Package ($225.00)

This is a basic wedding service in which Dr. Terry will use information given to him to create a brief and meaningful service. This would be for the couple who are planning their wedding with a minimal amount of time, have a small or no wedding party, with just a few guests. (Examples in recent years have been service men and women who are being deployed with little notice and who wish to be married before going overseas.) No rehearsal is usually needed for a wedding of this size. Included would be:

• Preparation and filing of all legal documents required by your County to register your marriage
• Beautifully-designed Certificate of Marriage suitable for framing

 

Amethyst Package ($325.00)

Dr. Terry’s customized wedding service for couples with a small wedding party and a small- to medium-sized number of guests in attendance. Since most weddings of this size include a wedding coordinator, a rehearsal is not included. It does include everything in the Ruby Package, plus:

• One in-person meeting to discuss with you what you want to experience and to plan your ceremony
• A unique ceremony designed especially for you - no two ceremonies are the same
• Additional support throughout the planning process
• Coordination with musicians/DJs and photographers/videographers

 

Emerald Package ($425.00)

The Emerald Package includes everything in the other two packages plus Dr. Terry’s services at the rehearsal where he will either conduct the entire rehearsal or work jointly with a wedding coordinator.

 

 

Additional Fees:

• Hotel accommodations - only if overnight is required
• Travel more than twenty-five miles in each direction from Dr. Karanen’s home to the ceremony venue a travel fee of 50 cents per mile may apply (for the additional miles only).
